Information About Me
Hi, my name is Wendy and I love baking.
I have always been interested in cooking and baking. I also like arts, and have exhibited some pictures in the local art gallery.
Making cakes gives me the opportunity to combine my artistic and culinary talents.
I am of Dutch Canadian background. My parents moved from the Netherlands to Canada in the seventies. They put the names of their hometowns: Aarlanderveen and Oss together and named their business Aaross.
We did not have any family in Canada. Growing up on a dairy farm it was always just the 5 of us: mom, daddy, my brother and sister and me. We are a very close-knit family, outgoing, sociable and fun.
I like to continue using the name Aaross as a tribute to my parents and my Dutch Canadian background.
